Get Fit With Tiff Bootcamp

With the holidays coming to a close and New Years around the corner...have you made your new years resolution yet?

If getting fit is one of the things on your list, come out to the Village at Rice Hope Fitness Center and join us as Tiffany Taylor puts us to the challenge. Every Monday and Wednesday Tiffany Taylor and the Village at Rice Hope hosts bootcamp classes at 7pm for only $2 for residents and $5 for guests.

But that isn't it...So are you ready to get fit?

Well we have a great way to help you stay focused. We are hosting a Get Fit Challenge. Sign ups for this exciting challenge will be between January 5th and January 31st. Registration is $20.00 for singles and $30.00 for couples (can be friends or family does not have to be a spouse).

First 25 people to get their measurements/pictures done and pay will get $5.00 off their registration fee.

The challenge will begin on February 6th and ends on March 28th. That means get ready for 8 weeks of getting in shape and meeting your goals.

All those interested in participating will need to call Tiffany Taylor (our certified personal trainer) at 912-508-3670 or email her at tifftay1982@yahoo.com to schedule a time to take your pictures, get measured, and weighed.

Your before and after pictures will remain private between you and the trainer unless you want to show off all of your work at the finale party at the end of the 8 weeks. These pictures are great tools to see how much you change over the challenge.

Village at Rice Hope collects donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank

We did it again. We raised 293 pounds in donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Savannah, GA. http://www.helpendhunger.org/ Thank you to everyone who helped us this year. The people were so happy to see everything we had and I know we will make some people very happy.

Also thank you so much for all of our neighbors participation in our GIVE THANKS tree this year. We had tons of leaves to put on our tree and lots of thanks to be read :)

We are very thankful for such an awesome community with the best neighbors ever of course hehe :)

We are THANKFUL for you!!!

Thinking of everything we have done so far in November is so much fun. We had the BEST Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner with our neighbors and it was beyond delicious. We had so much food that we had to make sure everyone took something home so we wouldn't have too :)

The desserts were AMAZING this year as well and so many to chose from.

Thanks to everyone that came out to enjoy a wonderful family dinner with us. I was so stuffed when I left :)

3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch Spooktacular

Our 3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch Spooktacular was a hit. We had so much fun setting up for the event that we had excitement in us before the party guests even started arriving.

We had tons of sweets ready for our Spooky Dessert Party prior to Trick or Treating. We had Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars, Candy Corn Rice Krispies, Chocolate Covered Oreos, RIP brownies with gummy worms, Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats, Homemade Sugar Cookies, Pumpkin Cookies, Ghost and Pumpkin shaped Donuts and more.

After everybody enjoyed some delicious desserts we lined all the trick or treaters up to get ready to go into the neighborhood. All the trick or treaters had their pictures taken prior to getting their goodie bag from us and then they were off. By the time they got to my door their buckets were overfilling and candy was falling out.

Thanks again to all of those who came out and had a fun time with us. We loved seeing all your costumes and congrats to our raffle winners. We are so happy to have you all as part of our family. We even had some previous neighbors come and join us and we couldn't have been happier!!! We had the BEST Halloween and it was all thanks to you guys. We L♥VE our VRH family.

Don't forget about our Pumpkin Patch Spooktacular Oct. 27th

Village at Rice Hope Pumpkin Patch Spooktacular
Our team is very excited to announce that we will be having a small Halloween get together for families and friends. There will be refreshments and goodies for those who come down to the clubhouse to join us. Please feel free to dress up and bring refreshments if you would like.
This is a perfect opportunity to meet your neighbors and bring new guests to see our property. Remember we will give you a resident referral of $250 off your rent after they have lived here for 1 month.

Pumpkin Patch Details
On October 27th, 2011, our clubhouse will be open from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. At 7:00pm we will have a movie on and have sweets and refreshments available until 8pm. At 8pm, we will announce for all trick or treaters to line up and get ready. We will also send anybody wanting to run home and pass out candy to their apartments at this time as well.

Trick or Treating
Anybody interested in passing out candy, please call the office so that we can put a paper pumpkin cut out on your door the night of the event. Kids will only be allowed to trick or treat from 8pm-9pm. There will also be a Port Wentworth police car riding through our neighborhood during trick or treating.

We cannot wait to see you all in your costumes :)

Bingo Night to Benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank

We wanted to send a BIG shout out to all of you who joined us last night for bingo night. We hope you all enjoyed winning some awesome prizes (if you have any prize suggestions for next time feel free to let us know).

We want to thank Clay Clark from Statefarm for donating some great $10.00 Visa Gift Cards to us (if you haven't gotten renter's insurance yet call him at 912.966.2688 for an awesome deal). We also want to thank Victor from S&P Automotive for hooking us up with some awesome prizes like a FREE oil change and tire rotation and balance and also a FREE engine check. Also thank you to Rice Hope Animal Hospital for donating a FREE exam and a FREE nights boarding.

All in all we ended up getting 135 cans just last night. Don't forget in total we want to get over 596 lbs of goods so we can beat last years. Here is a picture from last year :)

We had so much help last year and people were so excited when we finally brought all the food to them. So let's get together and help reach our goal. We will be collecting until November 21st so feel free to get a box together at your work and start collecting and then bring them in to the office (person who donates the most cans wins a prize).

And don't forget our next event is on October 27th and we will be having our Pumpkin Patch Spooktacular event. We will have a get together at the Clubhouse from 7-8pm and then from 8-9pm we will host trick or treating. If you are interested in passing out candy please call the office so we can record your name down and put an orange pumpkin on your door the night of the event.
